LAND ACQUISTION (LA), RESETTLEMENT AND REHABILITATION (R&R) ACTIVITIES


The Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF), prepared in line with the new “Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement-RFCTLARR Act, 2013 and the World Bank’s Operational guidelines have been approved by the Government for giving compensation and resettlement of the Project Affected People.


The Resettlement Policy Framework covers the principles and objectives of resettlement, process for conducting census survey of Project Affected People (PAP), Socio-economic Surveys and Preparation of Entitlement Matrix (EM), Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), is prepared for the Project Roads based on the approved Entitlement Matrix and following the above, final awards are passed by the
TNRSP-II.


An extent of 180 Ha of patta lands have been acquired as per the provisions of Tamil Nadu Highways Act-2001 for the Project by paying compensation in line with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
